About this course

This course allows in an easy, descriptive way to make use and benefit from a Network App Marketplace (EVOLVED-5G Marketplace), where Network Apps to exploit the potential of 5G Programmability are available and can be retrieved or published. 5G is an immensely disruptive technology and Network Apps that is transforming our world, and Network Apps allows for exploiting in a profound manner the benefits that 5G can provide.

What I will learn

Along the course you will learn:

  • As a Network App developer, how to publish and manage your Network Apps in the EVOLVED-5G Marketplace.
  • As a Network App user or consumer, how to search and download Network Apps from the EVOLVED-5G Marketplace to make use of them to create or adapt vertical applications or services, to improve your business.

Prerrequisites

This online course has no special prerequisites. However, some technology background may be desirable.

Teachers

Dr. Harilaos Koumaras

Dr. Harilaous Koumaras is an associated researcher in the Media Networks Lab at the National Centre of Scientific Research “Demokritos” in Greece (NCSRD) and a research assistant professor at the Institute of Informatics and Telecomunications of the same centre. He has been involved in very relevant 5G-related H2020 Research and Innovation European Projects, being the Technical Manager of EVOLVED-5G and the Coordinator of 5GENESIS. He is an active researcher in the area of Mobile Communication (5G and Beyond 5G) with emphasis on vertical applications.

Alexandros Tzoumas

Alexandros Tzoumas is a Software engineer working at Maggioli with more than 15 years of experience in building IT systems in Telecom, Banking, Retail and Travel sector. He has been engaged in various roles in technology start-ups and participated in the technical implementation of European open source projects.

Thomas Peyrucain

Thomas is a Robotics Engineer working at PAL Robotics company, on several projects that involve the use of cutting-edge technologies and 5G Networks. He is participating in a H2020 Innovation project, EVOLVED-5G, devoted to 5G & Beyond Network Apps.

Dr. Regel González Usach

Dr. Regel González Usach (collaborator) is an associated researcher at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), at the Real-Time Systems & Applications Laboratory. She has participated in 5G-related European H2020 Innovation projects such as EVOLVED-5G and 5GENESIS.
